We work hard to maintain flexibility when working with our customers. Don’t be afraid to ask if you would like us to create a payment or update plan to suit your needs.

When designing a website the first tools we use are often a pencil and paper.

This may come as something of a surprise but it is true. It’s important to think about the basic elements of the website.

These can include:

Having viewed your sample pages and decided upon a style for the site we then begin creating the actual pages for the real website.

At this stage we ask you to provide, if possible, the text content for your pages. We can help you with this if you feel stuck. It can be useful for you to read other similar websites, not to copy, but to get an idea of some of the things you may want to include on your own website.

Images are also an important aspect of any website. If you have your own images which you would like to use then that’s great, but don’t worry if you don’t have any. We can supply images for you. Sometimes these images need to be purchased which is usually quite inexpensive. It is important not to illegally use images which are subject to copyright restrictions.

Before long we have a fully functioning website.

Now it is simply a matter of making any adjustments until your new website is absolutely perfect.

When you are 100% satisfied then website will be ‘signed off’

Website design

mobile friendly

All our sites are mobile friendly. This means visitors using mobile devices will see a site that looks great and loads quickly creating a good impression of you and your business.

fully tested

Did you know that not all web browsers display websites in exactly the same way?

We test our sites in all major browsers to ensure your site always looks great.

Due to the way different web browsers work it is impossible for a website to look exactly the same in all browsers. The differences are often small and we work hard to make sure your website always looks great.

unique to you

Some web designers rely on using ready made templates to speed things up. At Blue Bay Web Design your website is as unique as you are.

We work together to create the look and feel of the site you really want.

not outsourced

All of our work is done in-house - NOT outsourced.

Doing everything ourselves is the only way we can be certain of our customers getting the great service they deserve.

Once your website is signed off we upload to your server and your site is then live on the Internet. We can then perform any updates you require throughout the life of your website. It is important to understand that ideally a website should evolve over time and remain fresh.

An old, stagnant website does not help you or your business.

At Blue Bay Web Design we believe honesty and transparency are absolutely essential.

Therefore please remember:

It takes time and effort to get to the first page in a Google search. If someone promises to immediately get you to page one on Google PLEASE walk away.

Ideally you will take the time to use social media to create interest in you and your business.

A website should be active. This helps keep your customers interested in you. Regular updates are important.

Once we have an idea of how you want your website to be we create a selection of samples for you to view.

We upload all sample pages to your unique area on our website for you to view at your leisure.

What content you plan to be included in your website.

How many pages your website should have.

Page layout - how you would like the pages to be laid out.

What type of navigation you would like.

Visual style of the website, ie modern, industrial, vintage etc. Even simple colour scheme changes can dramatically affect the feel of a site.
